Las Vegas Water Fun Lake Mead
Created by the
completion of
Hoover Dam in
1935, the 110-mile
long Lake Mead
offers boating,
fishing, jet skiing,
camping, swimming, and
anything you can think of that involves
being pulled behind a boat.

Boating on Lake Mead
If you can't take advantage of the water-based recreational
opportunities offered by Lake Mead because you don't have a boat,
we'll try to hook you up with someone who does.  For information

We’ll “Boat” You
Just minutes from Las Vegas, Lake Mead offers activities that are the perfect antidote to the
crowds and activities of the Las Vegas Strip.  A lot of the shoreline in the lower basin is
accessible by unimproved roads, whereas most of the other parts of Lake Mead can only be
appreciated using a boat as the majority of the innumerable sheltered coves and canyons,
often with clean, empty beaches, are quite inaccessible by road.  Sightseeing, water sports,
kicking back in a remote cove, or  perfecting a tan are popular activities for those fortunate
enough to have access to Lake Mead's water. When you are ready to return to the excitement
of the Strip, here’s a link to Las Vegas entertainment.
